Visa

The Czech Republic has been a member of the European Union since 2004. Citizens of the EU member states are required to carry their passports or other form of valid identification in order to enter the country. The same applies for the citizens of Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland, who can move freely around the EU states. In 2007, the Czech Republic signed the Schengen agreement. The list of countries whose citizens require a visa in order to visit can be found here.

Should you require a visa, WoCoVA recommends that you apply for the document well in advance at Czech Diplomatic and Consular Posts in your country. If you apply less than 14 days before your scheduled departure, the Czech Immigration Service cannot guarantee that you will obtain your visa in time. Please also remember that your passport will need to be valid for 3 months beyond the end of your projected stay.
